First teaching September 2015, first examination Summer 2017, the new GCSE 2015 (9-1)has arrived!
The key changes are:
- A new grading system 9-1 (no more letters!)
- A new Foundation GCSE Mathematics curriculum (lots added and a few topics removed)
- A new Higher GCSE Mathematics curriculum (a few additions and a few topics removed)
- New assessments (3 examination papers, each 90 minutes, each 80 marks.. a total of 4.5hrs and 240 marks)
- Recategorised/redefined Strands (now 6 strands with multiple elements)
